Amina graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Childhood and Youth Studies, with a minor in Psychology. After completing her undergraduate degree, she decided to return to school and pursue a Bachelor of Social Work and is currently completing her Master of Social Work. Her educational background has strengthened her understanding of development, learning, and the unique needs of each individual. She is passionate about supporting children, youth, and adults in reaching their full potential and helping them build confidence in their abilities.

Amina has completed placements with Epilepsy Ottawa, where she supported individuals living with epilepsy, as well as with Carleton University, where she supported students with disabilities in achieving their academic goals and succeeding in their studies. These experiences have deepened her interest in working with individuals with diverse needs and providing individualized support. 

When she is not at work, Amina enjoys embroidery and going to the gym.
